BOARD MEMBERS
Ndiwalana Robert
Robert is a registered Physical Planner with Uganda Institute of Physical Planning, and worked as Physical Planner with Kampala Capital City Authority for over 12 years before entering into private practice. Currently the Chairman of Gamak Dimensions Savings and Cooperative Society Ltd, he has also worked as a Physical Planner consultant on part-time basis with a number of firms including Infra-Tec consulting Ltd, Business Synergies Ltd, and Praid consulting firm Ltd, among others. Robert recieved a Bachelors Degree in Urban Planning in 2000 from Makerere University, a post graduate Diploma in Urban Governance and Management from Uganda Management Institute, Kampala in 2005 and a Master Degree in Social Sector Planning and Management from Makerere University in 2014. More recently he has also ventured into farming, with a specific focus on commercial tree planting. |
Ms. Caroline Aguti
Caroline is a Senior Administrative Assistant with UN World Food Programme (WFP), in Kampala. She has worked with WFP for 12 years in Administration and Human Resources units, with a focus on coordinating meetings between WFP, Government, Donors and Partners, carrying out research on WFP related operations in partnership with other UN agencies, and handle protocol related functions in the Office of the Representative, amongst many other tasks. |
Dr. Gerald Obai
Gerald is a Physiologist and Health Services Researcher by training, with a Master of Science (Physiology) from Mbarara University of Science and Technology, and a Master of Health Services Research from Makerere University. He currently is a lecturer and head of the department of Physiology, Faculty of Medicine in Gulu University, where he has been working since 2003. He has also done work for the Ministry of Health in partnership with the World Health Organisation (WHO) and UNICEF as a member of the National Stop Transmission of Polio (NSTOP), along with work on immunization data quality improvement. Gerald is a member of the Rotary club of Gulu where I have served as Director Club Service Projects, Director Club Administration, club trainer, and club President among other positions. |
Technical advisers
John Paterson:
John is a policy researcher and communications analyst with the Government of Alberta in Canada. He specializes in pharmaceutical and public health policy development, and has worked with a wide range of stakeholder groups across the public, private and community sectors. He has also led health communication projects in a variety of areas, from pandemic influenza to West Nile virus. He is currently pursuing research into the benefits offered by 'network' approaches to primary health care. |
Liz Richardson:
Liz is a Global Health Network Technical Advisor. Holds an MSC in Global Health and Public Policy; She is currently a researcher with the University of Edinburgh's Global Health Unit, with substantial experience in the implementation and administration of international health programs, having worked in the US and Africa in the mainstream implementation of global health initiatives. |
Moritz Liebe:
Moritz is PhD researcher at the University of Edinburgh, with special interest in public-private partnerships and financing of public services. He holds a degree in politics, media sciences and history, and an MSc in Health Systems. Moritz is a technical advisor to GHN (U) on health financing and is a focal contact person for partners in the UK and Germany. |
